About the Job

The primary function of the Strategic Account Manager is to identify and develop key partnerships with targeted commercial accounts. Leverage strong relationships within the large commercial development, design, and construction community to proactively find sales opportunities and drive these advantaged leads through the appropriate ParkUSA Plants.

 

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of ParkUSA products and services to identify those Strategic Accounts and related projects that have the potential to specify ParkUSA products.
  • Develop an expertise of strategic account processes working closely with ParkUSA Project Sales Representatives.
  • Develop Senior level partnerships with Group Sales Managers and educate teams on the value of early ParkUSA involvement on significant commercial construction projects.
  • Take a proactive approach communicating with engineering firms to determine what significant commercial projects are coming down the pipeline that could offer opportunity for ParkUSA to offer products and services.
  • Work directly with owners, municipalities, and other governing bodies to drive ParkUSA products acceptance in the local markets.
  • Offer insight to Group Sales Managers on the ability of ParKUSA to develop distinctive, project/customer specific offerings to further strengthen partnerships.
  • Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Must have ability to regularly travel throughout the sales region,  some overnights.

  • Be a pro-active, self-motivated, self-starter who is action oriented and drives for results.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-based approach.
  • Be experienced with technical sales to engineers, industry suppliers, contractors and specifying agencies.
  • Have ability to work with a diverse group of people both within the Company and in a sales capacity.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, construction, related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ working as a leader in related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in Construction, Estimating, Bid Development or related field.
  • Recent experience as a project Manager, Business Development Leader or Estimator
  • Experience within the commercial real estate development, design, and construction is preferred
  • Be proficient in basic Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, preferably Salesforce is a plus.
  • SAP experience, or a large ERP system, is considered a plus.
