NWPX wastewater pretreatment systems are designed to remove and contain contaminants at the source, supporting regulatory compliance while protecting downstream infrastructure. GreaseTrooper®

Gravity Grease Interceptors

The NWPX GreaseTrooper® is a gravity grease interceptor designed to remove fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from wastewater before discharge into the sanitary sewer system. By slowing the flow of wastewater, the system allows grease to separate and rise to the surface while solids settle at the bottom, and clarified water exits to the sanitary sewer. This process supports effective FOG control across commercial, industrial, and municipal applications, helping prevent costly blockages and protecting downstream infrastructure.

Our gravity grease interceptors are delivered as pre-engineered, factory-assembled systems that integrate precast concrete structures with internal baffles and pre-plumbed inlet and outlet piping. Available in a range of sizes to meet local requirements, these systems are designed for simplified installation, reliable operation, and long service life. Optional HDPE liners enhance corrosion resistance, while monitoring and alarm capabilities support ongoing system performance and maintenance.

OilTrooper®

Oil-Water Separators

The NWPX OilTrooper® is an oil-water separator designed to remove free oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons from wastewater before discharge. By separating lighter hydrocarbons from water through gravity, these systems capture oil at the surface while allowing treated water to exit to the sanitary sewer, supporting effective pollutant control in vehicle service, fueling, and industrial applications.

OilTrooper® CMP models are equipped with our patented Coalescing Media Pack (CMP). The CMP enhances gravity separation by combining smaller oil droplets into larger droplets, enabling more efficient removal of hydrocarbons from wastewater. An integrated oil stop valve prevents captured oil from discharging once capacity is reached. Systems are available in a range of sizes and configurations to meet site-specific requirements, with optional HDPE liners, monitoring, and alarm systems.

DeconTank®

Decontamination Tank System

Decontamination tank systems are designed to capture and contain contaminated rinse water, preventing hazardous materials from entering the sanitary sewer system. During decontamination events, a diverter valve switches the system into rinse mode, directing contaminated wastewater into a dedicated holding tank for controlled storage and removal. These systems are used in medical, research, and military facilities where chemical, biological, and other regulated (CBAR) wastes must be isolated and managed in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.

The NWPX DeconTank® is constructed of durable reinforced concrete with a single (interior) or double (interior/exterior) HDPE liner for added protection against aggressive chemicals. High-level sensors and alarm systems support safe operation and controlled management of contaminated wastewater.
