About the Job

The Quality Control Inspector plans, coordinates, and directs quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through supervision of Corporate Quality Control Management.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
  • Safety: Safety always starts with PPE, and an attitude for safe practices. It must be promoted by one’s self throughout the day.
  • Morning walk through: QC personnel are required to do a morning walk through the plant, to observe, the prior day’s activities, including curing procedures, products being tipped out and documenting any irregularities.
  • Duties shall include post pour checks:
    o As cast dimensions are per the DWGS or the Geneva Pipe standards
    o Products are stenciled and/or marked correctly
    o All repair work is completed and satisfactory before QC sign off
  • Previous day cylinders and Data Loggers are collected
  • Process Certification; U-DOT, and Manufactures Certificates of Compliance
  • Manage and Track, BUY America and all steel tracking documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team member
Education/Experience
  • 2 years of previous experience working in a front office setting
  • High school diploma or GED
