About the Job

Under daily direction from a supervisor, oversee and participate in the operations in connection with the assembling or manufacturing of products.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities

• Repairs and performs designated maintenance on plant equipment and facilities.
• Installs new equipment and assemblies.
• Fabricates new parts and assemblies.
• Modifies equipment and facilities.
• Works on production and manufacturing machine equipment.
• Works with conveyors, screw drivers, compressors, gears, power drives, air tools, etc.
• Repairs facilities bracing, frames, supports, railings, ladders, walkways, etc.
• Make simple electrical repairs.
• Operate shop equipment.
• Comply with all Northwest Pipe Company WTG policies and procedures.
• Position requires regular, reliable, and predicable attendance.
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position

Education/Experience

• Prior experience as a Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Prior electrical experience preferred
