Northwest Pipe Company manufactures welded steel
pipe for a variety of applications. Our spiral weld pipe is
manufactured in sizes 12" through
156"OD
and wall thickness of 0.105" through 0.875". Spiral weld pipe
is manufactured from steel coils formed helically into
cylinders. The cylinders are welded as they are formed, using
the double-submerged arc weld process. This process achieves
100% penetration welds and forms a flawless seam that becomes
an integral part of the pipe. We manufacture pipe in lengths up
to 130 feet. Pipe is then subject to comprehensive testing and
inspections.
Northwest Pipe produces bar-wrapped concrete cylinder pipe at
our Adelanto, CA facility. Diameters from 12 to 60 inches and
design pressures up to 400 psi are produced. We manufacture in
lengths up to 40 feet. Bar-wrapped concrete cylinder pipe is
manufactured using a welded steel cylinder with sized steel
joint rings attached. A lining of cement mortar is
centrifugally applied. A continuous steel bar is helically
wound tightly around the outside of the cylinder and securely
welded to the steel joint rings. A coating of dense mortar is
applied to the cylinder and bar wrap.
NWP also offers custom plate rolling and welding through 3"
thickness at our Adelanto facility, 11/4" in Saginaw, TX and 1"
in Denver, CO. These unique capabilities allow us to provide
custom fabrication of heavy wall pipe for special applications
beyond the range of our spiral mills.
