Scott Montross, President & CEO
Scott Montross has served as our Director, President and Chief Executive Officer since January 1, 2013. In this role, Scott leads business and strategic direction across Northwest Pipe Company's Water Transmission and Tubular Products Groups. Scott joined the Company in May, 2011 after 23 years in the steel industry where he held a number of key senior positions including his most recent position as Executive Vice President of the Flat Products Group for Evraz Inc. NA's Oregon Steel Division, Claymont Steel Division and the Regina Steel Division. Prior to Evraz Inc. NA, Scott held positions with Oregon Steel Mills and National Steel Corporation. Scott is a graduate of Colgate University.
Martin Dana, Executive Vice President – Tubular Products Division
Martin joined Northwest Pipe Company 1999 and was recently appointed Executive Vice President of the Tubular Products Group where he oversees all sales and operational functions for the three tubular facilities. Martin has held several key leadership positions at Northwest Pipe including Vice President of Operations for Tubular Products and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Water Transmission Group. Prior to joining Northwest Pipe Company Martin held positions at Oregon Steel Mills and with a regional Commercial Real Estate Brokerage firm, Norris Beggs and Simpson. Martin is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Bill Smith, Executive Vice President – Water Transmission Group
Bill Smith was appointed Executive Vice President of the Water Transmission Group in August 2013 and oversees all sales and operations for Northwest Pipe Company’s six Water Transmission facilities. Bill joined the company in 2008 and was most recently the Vice President of Operations for Water Transmission. Prior to joining the Company, Bill spent 14 years with Ameron, holding several key positions including President, Water Transmission. A 37-year veteran to the steel pipe business, Bill held positions with United Concrete Pipe, Thompson Steel Pipe and LB Foster. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Robin Gantt, Senior Vice President - CFO
Robin Gantt joined Northwest Pipe Company in 2010 and she was appointed CFO in January 2011. In this role, Robin is responsible for the company's finance and investor relations functions. Prior to Northwest Pipe Company, Robin spent 11 years with Evraz, Inc. NA formerly Oregon Steel Mills, Inc. where she held several finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility before being appointed to Controller in 2005. Prior to Evraz, Robin was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Robin is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University.
Rich Baum, Senior Vice President – General Counsel
Rich Baum was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel in April 2011. Rich's prior experience includes 28 years practicing in all aspects of commercial litigation and dispute resolution for two leading regional law firms, including 22 years as a partner. His legal work focused on matters in the areas of securities and corporate governance litigation, antitrust, intellectual property, professional liability and executive compensation disputes. Rich received his B.A. from Colgate University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Bob Mahoney, Senior Vice President – Corporate Business Development
Bob Mahoney has served as our Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development since January 2012, responsible for overseeing research and development activities devoted to growing the core businesses, supporting Northwest Pipe Company’s customers and creating new technical-based options for growth for the corporation. From June 2007 to December 2011, Bob served as the Senior Vice President, Tubular Products Group and before that as our Vice President, Chief Strategic Officer. Bob has been with the Company since 1992. Prior to joining Northwest Pipe Company, Bob was an Aviation Officer with the United States Army for six years. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1984, Bob received his MBA from the University of Virginia in 1992.
Gary Stokes, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing – Water Transmission Group
Gary Stokes has served as our Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Water Transmission Group since January 2012. Since joining Northwest Pipe Company in 1987 as the Vice President of Sales for the California Division he has held several sales positions and he has been instrumental in positioning Northwest Pipe Company as the leading manufacturer in the welded steel pipe industry. Before Northwest Pipe Company, Gary was a senior manager at L.B. Foster managing west coast sales.
